Tin Man's Story

From the book we learn that the Tin Man was once a man hacking trees in the woods with his axe, whom was in love with a munchkin woman. But The Wicked Witch cast a spell on the man's axe that made it cut his limps one-by-one until eventually his head was cut off. Yes, a bit graphic for kids, but cool nonetheless!
With this version, I want to keep the same story, but with some minor changes. The Tin Man  will be a vampire named Tarren(I'll explain his name and origin hereafter), who is trying to fit in the human society by being a woodsman who works at night. Instead of being in love with a munchkin, he will be in love with one of the witches. He will first be in love with The Wicked Witch of the West, but then fall in love with one of the good witches. The Wicked Witch of the West becomes jealous and enchants Tarren's axe to cut off his arms and legs. The good witch gives Tarren robotic limbs so that he can still make a living, the witch also made it so that Tarren could work during the day. The robotic suit protects him from the sunlight.
One day The Wicked Witch of the West decides to trick one of the other good witches to make it rain in the forest where Tarren was chopping wood. She later tells the witch and Tarren to meet her at the forest, to settle some differences. A forgive and forget scenario. Little did the vampire and the good witch know, The Wicked Witch of the West has the other good witch make it rain, making the good witch melt and the vampire's robotic joints rust so that he is unable to save her.
Tarren becomes a 'heartless' vampire that is seeking revenge on The Wicked Witch of the West, but over the years he is stuck in his rusty state. Until Dorothy comes an let's him loose, but only under the condition of helping her find her way home and Dorothy helps Tarren find the Witch so that he can kill her!
